holy moly Ive been so busy!! A lot of you who follow me know that we have a diner.. well DH and his dad do.. but anyways in the past two weeks Ive made a FB page for it.. menus and a outside menu (sidewalk menu) so much work!! the facebook page wasnt that bad but the menus are for breakfast and lunch so I had to type them all up make them fancy put them on nice paper and get them laminated lol..

the back says lunch :) its basically just a list of things the diner sells besides the lunch specials and a hamburger and hot dog!

the outside menu was a pain in the ASS.. first off the only reason why I decided to make these things is because the diner is soooooo old school .. like most diners haha.. they've never had menus.. only the little lunch menu board they change everyday but other than that no type of advertisement or anything like a sidewalk menu for specials.. so I decided what the heck! it will most likely bring in more money thats why people have them right? RIGHT! except most business buy theirs.. and they can run up to $350 for the board and the letters and numbers all that.. there was no way I was dishing out that money hah.. so I said "Ill make one".. I had the bright idea to find a sign that was metal paint it.. and then stencil out a bunch of letters and numbers,laminate them glue a magnet on the back.. and it would be done.. my ideas seem to be done in my head in like a minute.. lol so when we found a sign.. it was not metal:/ sooooo I said i would paint it with magnetic paint... that sucked so bad lol three coats of black magnetic paint and then two coats of white paint! Then I put fridge magnets on it and it worked friggen awesome.. so I went ahead with my letters.. stenciled out seriously a thousands A's B's & C's so on.. laminated them and then put magnets on the back. it worked great until I decided to put it outside of the diner on the windiest day EVER and the letters blew all into the street into traffic it was miserable.. Tom and I were running after them so we knew this whole thing sucked! how could we get these letters to stick!?
Then Toms cousin came into the diner and said use velcro! holy crap no kidding! why didn't I think of that!? it just sucked that I spent a whole weekend painting and spent the money on magnetic paint which isn't cheap.. and putting magnets on thousands of letters:/ after we bought the velcro it went real quick though and Tom helped me hah... so we've had it done for about 4 days and we've already seen a huge difference!!!! first of all those velcro letter DO NOT BUDGE!! hah yay! second of all it was basically a $20 project well $40 if you count the magnetic paint.. which was the before project:/ but I think for doing it all myself it came out really good! and besides.. if it gets crappy we will just buy one now !knowing that it has helped !!

we keep the menu on the porch and theres one of our cats lol! I blocked the number because even though you can look up the business and find the number ... well you know what Im talking about lol!

So after all that crap! which took days seriously!!! all the stenciling i went through about 4 permanent markers! Tom and his dad have seen a definite change.. not thousands of dollars coming through the door but people are reading the menu when they drive by and coming in or getting stuff to go! that's just regular things the diner sells the other side will say the specials.. for instance fish & chips! a lot of people that dont come to the diner have no idea that we do fish & chips and our towns only seafood restaurant went out of business last year so now everyone will know we have some seafood too:)

onto other things... some of you may also know that Tom & I are foster/adoptive parents! I've touched base on this in a post before.. not sure which one but if you have any questions or are thinking about becoming one let me know! Anyways we were foster only 0-5 year olds but we recently just changed our age limit to 8 yrs old so we needed a twin size bed ... we have toddler beds and cribs but we needed something for an 8 year old or even a 5 year old is kinda to big for a toddler bed.. so first we were going to go with a sofa bed in our play room.. so that when a kid came to us they could have there own room with a tv and stuff.. and we would just be able to pull out the bed .. and when they left we could make it back into a couch and the kids could have their playroom back .. which we still might do for the other bedroom too.. BUT I found this beautiful piece of kid furniture on craigslist haha!

Its by little tikes and its a friggen twin size bed on a play house!!! are you kidding me with this awesomeness!? I want to sleep on it hahah another unknown fact about me... I love kids play houses we now own 6 of them! I have four in the back yard and one on our porch and now this one in our play room! also you can put another twin mattress on the bottom so its a bunk bed!! so cool!

Right now Wes has been playing in there and he loves it and goes on top to take a nap but he knows that it will be used as someones bed and hes fine with it because he has a little tikes twin size car bed haha:) we love these ginormous plastic things! Tom put this pic on facebook the other day and said "another house to add to our collection".. seriously im collecting these things!! I have a problem hah

So thats what we have been up to! reallllly busy if you read all of this update you are the best!!!

and if you are wondering whats on my nails currently.. a franken!! i havent named it yet but isnt it gorgeous!?

Alrighttttty so after my last post HERE of the couple new Sinful Colors I bought.. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the rest of the (new) ones!!! I'm pretty sure these are all of them.. so I decided to put all the swatches in one post so you guys don't have to link back and blah blah ! read below for the giveaway..

Bikini- Blue toned bright pink with pink shimmer throughout. So if you didn't read my last post this was one already swatched but I said it was similar to SC Oasis--Oasis is like one shade lighter

a blue-r toned bright pink with pink shimmer throughout.. same polish? basically!!!Bikini and Daredevil are dupes.. for sure.. unless you can look under a microscope you can see that its a teeney tinyyyy bit blue-r toned!

ummm yup^ If you have either one of these three colors.. I would say you can skip lol. ones enough :D

Bare- OMG love this nude.. it looks like a cream but there is the tiniest bit of shimmer in this with bits of silver it seems..

Tutu- I think sinful is stepping it up with there names.. this is basically the color of a tutu! sheer light pink cream

Exotic Green- love this grass colored green!

Blue By You- a Royal Blue shimmer with turquoise/teal glitter flecks

Kissy- is a Zoya Charla dupe

Island Coral- a light coral cream!

Cinderella- The very sought after Sinful at this moment! its seriously perfectly named it just looks like her dress !

I know this is a hit right now and for some reason a lot of you cant seem to find Cinderella so i picked up an extra one today to give away!

There has been some new Sinfuls popping up ! I picked up these four a couple days ago!

Cinderella- This one is the most sought after Sinful right now! every one is talking about it! can you see why!? gorgeous light shimmer sky blue with orange and pink (tiny flakes) of glitter

Bikini- is a beautiful bright pink with pink shimmer throughout (I thought this was Oasis renamed.. but its a shade darker then Oasis.. same pink shimmer throughout..not a dupe BUT if you own Oasis I would skip unless you just love pinks like me:D

Blue By You- is a Royal blue with turquoise/teal tiny glitter flakes or flecks:)

using 2 coats of China Glaze "sacred heart" then double stamped the image from SH04 plate with black and white special polish.. then the star from bm14 with special white:D
I think I might redo this one for the fourth of July and use blue instead of black.. or this could also look cute with a heart in the middle for V-day!

Three coats of Pure Ice "537cp" which I'm pretty sure has a name! "Beware" I already owned this silver glitter from Pure Ice ! gorgeous silver glitter... and I know I'm not the only one Cracked out.. but this is actually really pretty and I didnt own a crackle polish in this teal/royal blue color yet! Im pretty set on the crackles and shatters and whatever you call them for now.. The Nail polish brands went a little craaaaaay cray over this trend and it was cool for like the first week now im just over it hah:/

when pure ice hits the magnetic & flakie trend ill be all over it like "Crack" :D

Rite Aid Magnetix Polishes!

So as soon as I seen Nouveau Cheap post about Rite Aid selling magnetic polishes I had to get my hands on them!.. They are by Pretty Woman and are called "Magnetix" like the rest of magnetic polishes out lol
see her post HERE if you are not following Gianna then you are insane in the membrane.. you can find out pretty much everything right away.. product releases.. sales at drugstores.. coupons.. swatches .. EVERYTHING!

she explains all about them in her post.. here I have the emerald green frosty one! well it goes on like a light frosty green and turns into this deep emerald amazingness!

I cant say one bad thing about this product! they are $8 each and come with two magnets.. wavy and straight...which are rubber so you can bend them to get the whole design on the nail!
the formula on mine was amazing I did two coats! one to dry and one for design! the brush was fine on this too! seriously these are amazing from what i can tell and for $8 with both magnets.. seriously awesome!

Using WNW "Black Creme" as my base I grabbed a bunch of different colors and a striping brush..and yup I know they are done pretty sloppy:/ If it seems like I've been using these colors a lot ..its because they are all near me! hah.. my desk is quite the mess right now.. need to clean up! and start using other stuff ah well ill get to it someday;)

I saw this picture and just knew I had to recreate it! using a base of OPI "Alpine Snow"2 coats and then sponged/ splattered with SC"Black on Black" then stamped the skull from m28 with konad special lilac polish! The butterfly's are freehand.. messy but idc kinda the point:)

Using two coats of Sinful Colors "Easy Going" and one coat of Sinful Colors "Glass Pink" beautiful almost perfect cobination actually.. wish I took a swatch of that alone:/ sahhhry anyways the "branches" are from the BPm39 not really sure what it is actually haha some sort of flowery vine but yea.. I stamped that with WNW "Black" and then using konad special hot pink I stamped from konad m3 all over the branches.. and dotted a white dot in the middle of each flower!

I saw this display at my local Rite Aid and was in awe of all those chunky glitters!! I don't own a lot from this brand but if they keep making polishes like this I will!! especially this one called "Nostalgic" its teal hexagonal glitter with regular glitter in a clear base! These are not new but they are new to Rite Aid.. not sure about any other Rite Aids.. but I know for sure that my Rite Aid never carried LA Girl polishes ...$2.99 a bottle

Time to get CRACKING for Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year is observed for two consecutive weeks, and is popularly known as Spring Festival. It usually starts from late January and early February. The variation in the date of festival is due to the changes in the track of the new moon. The Spring Festival ends on the 15th day when the Lantern festival is celebrated. Pure Ice has a quick and simple nailpolish set to help you achieve this perfect look.

In 2012, Chinese New Year Day will be celebrated on January 23. The New Year festival will start from January 22 (Chinese New Year' Eve) and end on February 6 (Lantern Festival). 2012 marks the 4710th Chinese New Year, and this time it is the Year of Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac calendar.

The Dragon is the 5th sign of the Chinese zodiac and it is regarded as an auspicious symbol which stands for power, good luck, success, and happiness.

Since ancient times, the Chinese New Year was considered as the time to honor ancestors and heavenly deities. In addition, it was the time to organize family gatherings and grand feasts.

There is a legend associated with the celebration of New Year in China. There was a monster named Nian who used to harass the villagers by eating their crops, cattle and taking away their kids. The villagers had no other option but to place food at the entrance to their homes so that the monster would eat it and go away without harming them.

One day, the villagers realized that the monster was scared of red color. So, they adorned their doors and windows with red paper cutouts and spring scrolls. The villagers also burst crackers to frighten the monster. Since then, Nian never came again to the village. Hongjun Laozu, a Taoist monk, was the one who captured the beast later on. Since then, the Chinese have been celebrating the capture of Nian on their New Year's Day.

Chinese New Year is celebrated with fireworks, lion dancing, dragon dancing and cultural performances on the street. Families organize reunion dinners on New Year's Eve and make special preparations like spring rolls and Chinese dumplings.

Using the Pink from Icing Magnetix collection I made the diagonal stripes with the diagonal magnet
(see what I'm talking about HERE ..& swatches of the other magnetix) and then I stamped using SC "casablanca" from the SH03 plate:)

ICING MagnetiX nail polish

So here are all four beauties!!! I seriously am so impressed with this line! the shimmer is awesome in these! for only $9 a bottle this is such a steal its ridiculous.. PLUS Icing is always having the BOGO 1/2 off (buy one get one half off) sale! so for all four it costs $28

First lets talk about the packaging.. the cap where the magnet is can come off!

I love that about these.. So you can hold it close to the nail to get the design you want without having to rush and put the cap back on, close it.. and then end up holding the whole bottle! super convenient! it has two of the ledges so you can balance it on your finger without getting so close that you hit the nail! and you are able to do two different angles of the design

The cap also has a small instructional booklet.. well only two pages lol not a whole book:)

theres a few typos in there lol aghh well ..no biggy. I get what to do:)

Now onto the polishes

the gold one has tiny bits of gold glitter throughout the shimmer.. it really pops on the nails!

The blue one has purple shimmer mixed in absolutely lovee this one!!-wavy design

Pros- CHEAP.. well not dirt cheap but compared to other magnetic polishes this is half the price!

I love the colors of these and the finishes.. the shimmer in them is fantastic and they really are pretty unique! drying time.. fast!

Cons- The brush

on three of my polishes the brush is really weird.. its almost like its to long for the bottle and its smushed in the bottom because it comes out bent.

formula is thick.. you only need two coats.. one to dry and the other for design BUT its a pretty goopy coat( upon further use im pretty sure its the brush that makes it seem more goopy it kinda sticks to the brush weird and it all just piles on:/

The designs- I love the diagonal stripes and the wavy designs BUT you can only have the stripes on the gold and silver and the wavy on the blue and pink UNLESS you buy all four and use whichever you want.. Its not a problem for me because I have both types of magnets BUT I really can see the Icing having issues with this .. example... customers changing the caps to what they want and causing an uproar! ROARRRRR:/

UPDATE: one of my followers mentioned below that you could put the magnet up to the bottle in the store to see which way the designs went so you could tell if they were changed or not..this technique worked! but the wavy lines magnet kinda still looked straight because of the way the bottle is shaped.. so if that's the case try to compare both in the store i guess? you can tell a slight difference}

in order to see what design comes with what.. there is a picture of wavy nails or straight nails on the sticker on the cap..but again... UNLESS you were to do your nails in the store.. you would not be able to tell if they were switched or not.. because they are easy to come off.

- no names. I really don't care that they are nameless because they all look so different but alot of people care about that so yea..

Well what do you think?! These polishes just came out this past week and should be available.. BUT not for long I'm sure:)

That 70's show nails?

I feel like That 70's show is either a yay or nay with people... not that much in between .. you either love it or hate it.. I happen to love it because I have a little hippie in me.. regardless of being born in the 80s! lol BUT my mom was a hippie and I love everything about the style & image of it all.. and the music of course!

For this manicure I did a water marble. first using a coat of OPI "alpine snow" and then in the water I did
red SC "Go Go Girl"
green "SHID "Lickity split lime"
blue OPI "No room for the blues"
purple CH "Spontaneous"

then for the flowers I stamped from the konad plate M60 using special white

New Year festivities traditionally start on the first day of the month and continue until the fifteenth, when the moon is brightest. In China, people may take weeks of holiday from work to prepare for and celebrate the New Year.

Breathing Fire into the New Year

Legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal's year would have some of that animal's personality. Those born in dragon years are innovative, brave, and passionate.

Fireworks and Family Feasts

At Chinese New Year celebrations people wear red clothes, decorate with poems on red paper, and give children "lucky money" in red envelopes. Red symbolizes fire, which according to legend can drive away bad luck. The fireworks that shower the festivities are rooted in a similar ancient custom. Long ago, people in China lit bamboo stalks, believing that the crackling flames would frighten evil spirits.

Hello Kitty Nails and Earrings?!

Not a lot of you know this but.. my ears are stretched to one inch gauges... I've been stretching them since I was 14! lonnnnng time ago lol I was the only girl in my entire school with them stretched & there was only one other boy with his .. and everyone thought it was gross. people still do.. I get it ..its not everyone's cup of tea.. BUT because I've had them so long they are just really apart of me.. I have other piercings too.. and I cant see myself without them.. basically like any girl with pierced ears.. it would be weird not to have them right? right!

So on to the nails.. I wanted to create these hello kitty earrings I have and so thats what I did!
I did two coats of OPI "That's Hot Pink!" and used konad plate m79 with special white polish for the dots.. then on the accent nail I painted my nails white.. stamped the kitty face from BPM71 from ( www.bornprettystore.com) and filled in the rest of the nail with Thats hot pink with a tiny brush and then free handed the dots! I also did a little yellow nose:)

Whimsical is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's "Glitter In The Air ":)

then playing around I did one coat of Sally Girl "Periwinkle" a very pale shade of blue that is a cream and much closer to what Whimsical is. I think A List was close but I like the sally girl cream better.

anyways then I did one coat of OPI "Rainbow Connection" and then one coat of Whimsical on top to make it more milky:)

I received a couple questions on the Essie's that I spotted for $3 you can see that post here basically the post is just that.. I found Essie bottles for $3 at my local Ocean State Job Lot..

Ocean state is like a really weird bargain store.. and I'm not sure but I think its only around where I live.. in new England. its not all makeup and polishes its everything.. clothes, food ,electronics, kid stuff, games, books blah blah just a store of stuff.. and most of the stuff is really cheap so we buy cat food there lol

Anyway what I've noticed from most of the makeup and polish products they carry its usually stuff that has errors.. for example some Maybeline and Revlon products they sell the packaging will have errors in the labels and so on.. which is the case with the Essie polishes.. most of the polishes I bought had the same name on the bottom "Clambake" which they also were selling so its confusing.

but because I am a nail polish hoarder I'm aware of the Essie polishes and I know most of what their names are...sad I know.. ANYWAYS.... alot of the bottles I bought that are labeled "Clambake" also have another sticker on the brush handle with a number on it..

so I popped that number into google.. and swatches came up and sure enough its Essies "Big Spender"

so I just wrote "Big Spender" on a sticker and stuck it on the back of the bottle so I would know now:)

As many of my followers know I went to hair school...granted I didn't finish.. but that's a whole other story.. ANYWAYS... if there is anything I love doing more besides nails & makeup its hair.. I've had hair as long as past my butt to as short as ear length.. colors from red to platinum blond, brown, black, pink and so on... I was born with pin straight blond as can be hair.. and I've had a couple perms too.. but now after having two children..(pregnancy can make your hair cray cray) i have a combination of wavy ,straight,spiral & frizzy as crap hair.. yes all four.. its ridiculous i never leave the house with hair that's air dried... it needs to be up or straightened.. or have gel to hold the somewhat wave/curls together.. I cut my hair basically off (to my shoulders) it was almost touching my butt in the beginning of my pregnancy.. it is a tiny bit more healthier now that its cut and back to almost my natural hair color .. which is now a dirty golden blond.. BUT I swear that I could shave my hair off and start with brand new hair and it would always look damaged.. my hairdresser told me that my hair is "coarse and weird" yea lady tell me something I don't know!

so as you can imagine with a tiny background of my hair.. it needs products!!! especially because i straighten it so much i use products that claim to protect from heat.. so this is where my new holy grail comes in..

Hana Shine Shield was sent to me months and months back I'm actually not sure of the date.. but it was a while ago.. it kinda just sat in a box of stuff for a while until I ran out of my usual hair serum... so I gave it a shot and holy crap its amazing.. I use it everyday and I swear I see a difference to my hair even when i don't use it... its like literally helping my hair haha.. as many products claim they do ..but I'm convinced this has helped... I use it mostly on air dried hair right before I straighten but I have used it on wet hair too.. which it says you can do.. just like a dime sized amount rubbed between my hands and then I work my hands into my hair mostly focussing on the ends.

this is seriously what my hair looks like air dried.. its a completely frizzy hair fro. This is embarrassing for me to post haha oh well.

And after putting a dime sized of serum throughout.. and straightening! as I'm sure to alot of you this is not an amazing transformation of hair and probably doesn't look that great to you..but its so much different for me .. with my other straightening routine my hair would be straight but the frizz would still be there.. this has tamed my ridiculously thick hair down and made it shiny and soft and decent lol :)

If you are unaware of the RedAngel Plates well..... basically its a new group of 21 stamping plates for super cheap! so far I've done 5 or 6 mani's with them and have had no problem whatsoever!

PHEW! ok so here he is! he is now three weeks and one day old:)
Parker Scott:)

This was my first time basically really seeing him! he was born at 2:33pm and I saw him for a split second when they brought him over to me ...but this picture above was taken at around 9:30pm!

Because his birth was a c-section he had alot more fluid in his lungs so he had to go to the NICU and I was unable to see him till 9pm... hubby was with him the whole time though. BUT lets just say i was not the most lovely patient this whole time.. i literally felt like i had a surgery and no baby.. i wanted to see him so bad it was heartbreaking..i was being a huge bitch around 5pm hah.

This picture hubby took when he was first born..hes about 10 mins old.. he was across the room getting cleaned up while i was getting fixed up from my surgery .. i could hear him but not see him:/

here i am actually seeing him for the first time..but when they are all wrapped up like this.. and you cant move that much you only have like a minute to check them out:(

i love this picture!^ even though my face was super swollen ..especially my nose! weird lol ..

here's my belly like an hour before i met him! i miss my belly now actually! classic mirror picture haha . but i had to take my face piercings out.. and while i was in the hospital bathroom i figured i would snap one last one:)

Weston holding his brother Parker for the first time

Wes is 4 yrs old and Parker was 3 days here:)

Parker at 2 and 1/2 weeks old! he had a severe case of jaundice also.. we were able to leave the hospital on a Friday and were right back in on Monday! he also was born 6lbs and 11 oz.. and he dropped to 6lbs 2oz and they were very concerned about his weight.. the hospital experience was a good one they were so nice to us.. but its seriously so hard watching them poke your little baby a thousand times trying to get a good vein and what not.. so heartbreaking!

he is actually 7lbs now! he caught up and is now over his birth weight sense we've been home and hes getting a bit chunky!:)

this above picture he looks so pale!like me haha his jaundice is gone now and its awesome!!! he was such a tan/orange yellow baby haha

(also in the above picture he is just sporting a shirt and diaper.. we are a cloth diapering family if anyone was wondering) :)

im such a happy and proud mommy:) never have i been more happy in my life actually:)

As for a update I have a scheduled C-section for the new little man on the 15th (tomorrow)at 2pm! I'm sooooo nervous! I had an emergency c-section done with my 4 year old son.. and it was just all a blur... so not that I don't remember..but this one is scheduled and at a different hospital..so its really a whole new pregnancy experience.... I cant wait to meet him though! we are so anxious!

Happy Halloween! this is what I'm wearing tonight:) one of my fellow bloggers did this design and I thought it was a brilliant use of the konad plate m72 it totally looks like slashes or stab marks!!! you can see my inspiration HERE :) thanks girl!
for mine I used 2 coats of OPI "Alpine Snow" and then with a sponging brush I sponged on some red that is the exact same color as konad stamping red.. its from the icing.. and has no name:/ then with plate m72 I used konad special red! it looks awesome and was simple and easy!:)

Spooky Night!

These nails are sooooooo FUN! and super easy! I used a base coat of OPI "Alpine Snow" just one coat.. to make the neon's pop!
The purple is China Glaze"Flying Dragon" the orange is Sinful Colors "Big Daddy" with one coat of Zoya "Sienna" and they bright yellow is Sinful Colors "Neon Melon"
I then stamped every finger with SC "Casablanca" (amazing silver stamping polish) the branches are from BM224 I just didn't stamp the pumpkin from that design.... it looks like lightning kinda! very cool!
the church/haunted house is from BM-224 as well.. I used WNW black cream for stamping that and the bats from BM-213

they remind me of such a spooky night! great for halloween! love these:)

Day 20 is water marble nails! I love the way lime green and purple look together.. regardless of Halloween haha.. but they are great Halloween colors:) I did a base of OPI "Alpine Snow" and for water marble I only used two colors Sinful Colors "Innocent" and WNW fast dry " Buffy the Violet Slayer" because the purple is a shimmer it kinda went every where and bled into the green.. but from far away it really looks awesome! I covered it up with some stamping though:/ the spider web from bm13 and the spiders are from BPm14 with konad special black..

On Wednesdays Hello Kitty wears pink too:) and what better way than to wear a costume?! Halloween is on monday and she's ready:)
I have three coats of Sinful Colors "Pink" a neon bright pink and I stamped kitty from BPm71 and the witch hat from BM-209 using konad special black..I made a little bow with a dotting tool and SC "Pink" over tiny dots of white polish. (it wouldn't show up over the black)
I thought it would be fun to use the fish skeletons because Ive never used them before.. frankly never had a reason to .. I don't really get that design haha but it fits in here quite well:) from BM04

Day 18 of the challenge is Half Moons.. which here is a little rant from me.. I'm really not into this trend! that's why you haven't seen any half moon mani's from me before.. I just really dont like it.. my friend Carolina posted THIS half moon mani a while ago ... and its the only thing I liked.

These Fright Night Claw Polishes are soooo cute.. little coffins! are you kidding me!? Ive never heard of them before until I saw them on Body&Soul 's haul post and I knew I had to hunt one down! I found a pack of two at Target "Phantom" and a black called "Sinister"... besides the super cute packaging I love how these have names! a lot of holiday polishes like this dont usually have names..:/

"Phantom" is a slate gray with tons of shimmer blue, purple, and silver from what I see.. but in the light it shimmers all different colors! I stamped the konad design m71 with the "Purple Chrome" Sally Hansen Color Quick pen for a "Delicate Print" for Day 15 of the challenge!

Happy Pink Wednesday! today is Revlon "Starry Pink" three coats:) a milky baby pink with loads of silver and pink glitter and silver hex glitter! I stamped the roses from Born Pretty plate M02 using Pure Ice "Outrageous" and then konad special black on top.. it looks like there is a pink/ silver outline around the flowers its awesome!!!!:);)

White Tiger nails!

I really loved how my Tiger Nails came out and I received soooo many compliments on them!
I decided to do some white tiger nails .. I do like how this came out but it doesn't beat the original lol

I started out with OPI "Alpine Snow" with one light coat of OPI "Crown me Already" then with a striping brush I made random stripes with alpine snow and covered the whole nail with the tiger stripe design from BM16

RAWR!!! Tiger nails:) Day 13 is Animal Print I used two coats of OPI "Rising Star" a golden copper foil then sponged a tiny bit of Pure Ice "Excuse me" (yellow) then did three random stripes of white using a striper brush and OPI "Alpine Snow" then stamped with BM16 I really love this!!!

Happy Pink Wednesday ladies.. here I have for you MAC's "Mean&Green" which came out with the Venomous Villains collection and I cant believe I never had it swatched!!! Its a multi chrome.. so many colors.. gold pink purple green orange in a olive green base... sorry for all of the pictures but its clearly amazing.. if you don't have this but have Orly "Space Cadet" its a dupe:)
then I stamped using konad special polish in pastel pink with BM209:)

Day 11 is polka dot nails.. I used one coat of Sally Hansen quick chrome pen in gold chrome and then two coats with SC "Paris" a gorgeous tiny glitter yellow gold polish! the polka dots are from plate m79.. this looks a little Christmas - y to me but the gold glitter polish was just amazing so sparkly!! .. i honestly think the dots ruined how gorgeous it is! wish i took a picture of it alone.. might wear it again because i loved it so much!

Day 10 is Gradient Nails.. I used SC "Black on Black" SC "Casablanca" for the silver tips one coat of a pumpkin rite aid polish that has silver and black glitter and then for the tips OPI "Crown me Already"

So you might be thinking..hmm a little early for the witch? which is from BM13 stamped w/ Casablanca... BUT this weekend we went to Salem Ma...which if anyone is unaware.. its a town mostly know for Witches lol (google it) its absolutely gorgeous there and so much shopping and sight seeing was done! we just walked around the little shops on the brick stone pathways and had an amazing time.. and yes we saw some witches:)

Day 7 is Black & White nails... I decided to use the BM222 stamp and do this fun cow print using Sinful Colors "Black on Black" over OPI "Alpine Snow" I did get some streaking with the top coat which I hate but you honestly cannot see it at all.. pictures ill tell ya ! hah

Apple and Pumpkin Picking!!! 9/11

9/11--- Today we went apple and pumpkin picking.. and it was really fun!!! we've gone before but my son is 4 and its just an amazing age for this kind of stuff.. he loved it.. we went early in the day and then later we got hot dogs and then drove around..... seriously an amazing day for me lol it really hit me that we are adding to our family and even though I cannot wait till the baby is here to join in all the fun I definitely took advantage today of just hanging out with my two guys!
9/11 affects me more than I ever thought it would... and today spending time with my family just made me appreciate life so much.. and how fortunate & proud I am to be an American!

For the nails .. base is Sephora by OPI "Run with it" I then used a Sally Hansen Quick Pen in "Gold " chrome with BM222 my accent finger was inspired by a post DuckDuckGander did HERE the leaves are from bm04 for the other nails the leaves are three colors.. konad special polish in red and yellow and OPI "Pampalona Purple"

Day 6 Oh WoW

Day 6 of the challenge is Violet Nails so I did three coats of Pixel "Oh Wow!!!" gorgeous shimmer frosty purple with chunky holo glitters it was incredibly hard to photograph ..just enlarge the pictures.. it looked better in pure sunlight but all of those pictures came out weird:/ ah well!

Today is day 3 which is Yellow Nails! I actually really like yellow polish on my nails.. I'm surprised by this because I feel like I cant pull off yellow clothing because my hair is blonde.. and it just washes me out sometimes... but I'm really feeling this Sinful Colors "Pull Over" its a wonderful mustard cream:)

Day 1 :Personal Shopper

Although this isn't the first of the month I really was interested in doing this.. so I'm going to! hah.
I saw this posted on Painted Tips and immediately thought it was a great idea! I would love my fellow bloggers to do this if you haven't already and let me know you are! Also if someone knows where this originated from please let me know so I can give the proper credit.. or link it somehow lol who knows if I'm doing it right.

so day 1 is Red nails and I'm wearing Sephora by OPI "Personal Shopper" a gorgeous deep red perfect for fall!2 coats:)

I still will be posting on Pink Wednesdays and other swatches here and there.. so most likely two posts a day sometimes:)

I know this mani has been done countless of times.. but I own a purse and tank in this same exact print and I wanted to recreate it! the ring finger did smear with top coat but you really cant see it.. I only noticed after looking at the pictures!
A base of Opi "Alpine Snow" stamped with konad plate m57 and then I used a dotting tool and used the following colors -
Purple- Sinful colors "Dream On"
Yellow- Sinful colors "Neon Mellon"
Pink- Opi "Cherry Blossom"
Green-China Glaze "Four Leaf Clover"
Orange- China Glaze "Papaya Punch"

I forgot to take a picture of just "Four Leaf Clover" on its own .. sahhrry:( It's like a bright neon turquoise green.. which you cant really tell because the stamping has toned it down.. the leaf stamp is from Bm214 with Color Club "Worth the Risque" and the butterfly is from BPm12 with konad black special polish then I stamped it again with the konad lilac special polish and used a jewel for the center:)

I dont have a swatch of Worth the Risque up yet.. but its a silver holographic polish and when its stamped over this green its making it look more gold.. cool effect

Where to buy OPI? a HOSPITAL!??

So I really wanted to do a post on where I've bought some OPI lately.. my hospital gift shop!!!! as many of you know I am indeed preggers and I have mentioned before that I see a high risk OB so I go to a bigger hospital in the city... I mean its not the biggest gift shop in the world or anything but they do have a lot of OPI and from past collections.. so if you are looking for a OPI polish that came out a while back.. lets say the Katy Perry collection and you cant find it at Ulta anymore.. check out your hospitals gift shop:)
now I'm not saying all hospital gift shops sell them because my hosptial in my town doesnt sell any nail polish... BUT my mom was recently in the hospital also.. ( a different one in the city) and we went to visit her and stopped off in the gift shop to buy her something ..and they also had a bunch of OPI.. I don't really plan on visiting any other hospitals any time soon but ill definitely keep you posted if I do haha! at my hospital they sell for $8 at the one my mom was in they were selling for $8.50

Hubby already jokes that when we go to the hospital which is weekly if I need to stock up on polish.. kinda weird to say when you think about it.. but its funny to me.. sense I go so much now I don't really need to buy anything but its tempting to look at polishes from earlier this year that I didnt get.
